historians over the past few years. It objectively and impartially analyzes the main stages of the historical development of the historical and ethnographic province of Georgia – Samurzakano. Special attention is paid to the so-called “controversial issues”, around which pseudoscientific speculations are constantly being risen by our opponents, and based on exhaustive, relevant historical sources and archival (including newly discovered) documents, a scientifically substantiated response is given to the separatists’ attempts to declare Samurzakano an Apsua ethnological and cultural space at any cost. The book is intended for specialists and a wide circle of readers interested in the history of Abkhazia/Georgia.
